The Mechanic of Cards

As a card game it seems obvious that its main game mechanic would be cards. The cards randomised your moves, allowed you to sabotage players and could ultimately end the game with one wrong move.
A common element in card games is the element of chance, this is improved by a well-shuffled deck. Whilst my group had never played “Exploding Kittens” an automatic affect was that we immediately began shuffling the cards before we had even opened the instruction manual.
