The aim of this video essay is to provide some insight into the world of league of legends and it’s relatively unchanged gameplay in over a decade. I will be looking at why the game is still massively popular all around the world through research into cognitive behaviours around competitive style gameplay and questions I’ve posed to the community.
I hope that this gives a view into a game community that is still very much alive and thriving in a world with an attention span of a goldfish.
