CLUEDO: 1940s board game still making waves in the digital era

Cluedo or known as Clue in the US is a board game where three to six players try to figure out three main facts of a murder: the murderer, the location of the murder, and the murder weapon. They do this by having their characters run around a mansion and gather evidence. Released in 1949, the franchise has spun into various platforms, musicals, jigsaw puzzles, mobile apps, books, television series and movies. 

The pressure of the digital era has forced more conventional forms of entertainment such as board games to adapt or die. The story of Cluedo has lived on through digital platforms successfully with no sign of slowing down in the future. 

Hollywood has been essential in keeping the CLUEDO concept alive, whilst most movies are not directly linked to the game itself, they are adaptations leading back to the original board game concept.
