BCM 300 – Week 9 Playtest Overview

This session, I had designed and play tested a beta version of the game receiving feedback from and identifying potential problems. The general feedback I received was that the game is fun. The ‘communal collection’ idea was well received, saying its an interesting component that has not been done before that adds an extra layer of depth to the board game.

Being able to modify the rules on the fly allowed to me to quick test new ideas, one of them being the ability for the infected to increase their stats in the end game by sacrificing their turn which decreases the chances of a stalemate scenario. Another was the ability for players to take cards from the communal pile during the night phase for extra sleuthing activities.
