This week in class, we experimented around with the physicality of the board game by investigating the way the board game pieces interact with the board game as a whole and prototypes different ideas in correlation. We also received some important tips on prototyping that will help my develop my school simulator board game idea.
The character cards and board will interact with the actual players well by assigning them a role and putting them in a scenario at a high school, where most (if not all) players would have experienced in their life, meaning the familiarity of the scenarios will be comforting to them. The character cards will feature high school stereotypes that many players would have also witness and are able to relate to, whether they fit into one of the stereotypes or experienced them at their high school.
