Game Analysis: The Lotus Garden

Lotus is a board game that seeks to create a garden full of flowers. Lotus is brought to the public by Renegade studios, whom are well-known for their strategy games, such as Lantern. Visually, the game and its packaging is stunning.

At first glance, the game looked similar to Uno, in the way that you’re only able to play a card of the same number or colour, but in this case the same flower. The objective of the game is to create a garden-bed full of flowers, scoring points for each amount of flower petals. The Lotus flower is the most sought after, with 7 petals.

Each player must seek to gain the most control of the flowers using the guardian tokens and their petal cards. Players who gain control of a flower wins their choice of 5 scoring points or a special power…
