It’s great to see that you’re getting out there and asking people to fill out surveys for you! Once you have a question that needs answering, the data that answers that question is so valuable!
The idea of having a survey is awesome! It’s a great way to get the information you need out of people, very useful stuff. I totally understand the issues with finding manufacturers and similar services– having no experience with game design it’s very daunting to have to think about all these factors that I’ve never had to consider before. I’ve noticed a lot of people are realising that some aspects of their games are over complicated and I’ve done exactly the same thing, and I really think the simpler the better.
I think having a survey is a great way to get information directly from the potential audience that will be playing your game. I think it’s something different that, i find, definitely gives a better insight into how you can adapt your game ideas in the future and mould it into your final product. I find that sometimes hearing other people’s opinions is the better way to go when trying to make the best of whatever it is you’re trying to do.
